The Princess by Lori Wick is one of my all time favorite books! This story takes place in the late twenty century, which is not my typical read however once I first read it I couldn't stop. This was a definitely a book I re-read and re-read. Shelby was so kind trying to help Alex in his grief, however when she was unsuccessful and felt lonely in her marriage she turned to God to ask Him for His help several times. She was truly such a devout character which I loved. It was beautiful to watch Alex and Shelby, though already married slowly start to get to know each other fall in love. Alex was such a wonderful husband toward the latter part of the book and he so clearly cared for Shelby and only ever wanted what was best for her. I would 10/10 recommend The Princess to anyone who loves romance, a royalty book, and Christian fiction.

*Things to Mention

It is inferred that Alex and Shelby have relations several times when they are married however no details are given. Shelby gets in a car accident and miscarries as a result.
